We specialize in the diagnosis, and treatment of urologic cancer including bladder, kidney, prostate and testicular cancer.

    Urinary Bladder Cancer

Bladder Cancer is a malignant tumor formed when the bladder or any other body part produces more cells than required. The bladder cancer can retard the primary function of the bladder, which is to collect urine from kidneys and eliminate it via the urethra. The origin of the disease is not known but certain modifiable behaviours, such as smoking, and exposure to aromatic amines, may turn out to be the risk factors. The prominent symptoms of bladder cancer include blood in urine, the constant urge to urinate, painful urination and feeble urine stream. The condition can be either non-invasive or invasive, depending on the extent of invasion of the tumor.

    Kidney Cancer

Kidney cancer is cancer that originates in the kidneys. Your kidneys are two bean-shaped organs, each about the size of your fist. They’re located behind your abdominal organs, with one kidney on each side of your spine.

In adults, the most common type of kidney cancer is renal cell carcinoma. Other less common types of kidney cancer can occur. Young children are more likely to develop a kind of kidney cancer called Wilms’ tumor.

The incidence of kidney cancer seems to be increasing. One reason for this may be the fact that imaging techniques such as computerized tomography (CT) scan are being used more often. These tests may lead to the accidental discovery of more kidney cancers.

    Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer is a malignant tumor in the prostate gland. The tumor is the result of abnormal growth of cells in the prostate gland or other remote parts. Though the cause of prostate cancer is yet to be determined, certain factors may make you prone to it like radiation exposure, ageing, obesity, heredity and race. As prostate gland is found only in men, being a male is the biggest risk factor. The symptoms include hesitancy in urination, constant urge to urinate, agonizing ejaculations, dribbling and inability to maintain a consistent urine stream. Since early treatment means better recovery, timely medical intervention should be sought.
